The Cape Coast Canes History:
(2011 Season) The Cape Coast Canes continued with a successful third summer in a row. The Cape Coast Canes were extremely successful at the Perfect Game events for the third season in a row. The Canes finished with an outstanding (4-1-1) record at the WWBA 18U National Championship in Marietta. This is the first season the Canes missed the playoffs in Marietta due to the runs scored rule to the very talented East Cobb Astros. The Canes were also very succesful at the BCS Finals in Fort Myers, finishing with a (4-2) record. The hard work and hours the players put in really paid off and sent several kids onto the next level. The Canes look forward to yet another tremendous 2012 summer!

(2010 Season) The Cape Coast Canes had a very succesful 2010 summer and lost a number of members to college baseball programs for the upcoming season. The Canes played in six tournaments throughout the summer and once again proved to be a nationally recognized program for the second straight season. The Canes advanced into the playoff round in five of six tournaments over the summer and beat three top 25 nationally ranked programs along the way. The Canes played their best ball of the summer once again in Marietta, Georgia at the 18u WWBA National Championships going (5-1) and losing a tough one run game to a talented Mississippi Bandits program. The hours and work the 2010 Cape Coast Canes team put in throughout the summer was evident throughout tournaments and summer workouts. The coaches (Head Coach: Greg Plecki, Assistant Coach: Paul Biocic, and Assistant Coach: Keith Gordon) are very proud of what the 2010 Cape Coast Canes accomplished and look forward to another great 2011 summer.

(2009 Season) The Cape Coast Canes began it's baseball program in the summer of 2009 comprised of players from across the eastern coast of Florida. The Canes played in six tournaments throughout that first summer having a very sucesful 29 and 16 record. The Canes advanced in both the WWBA National Championship and the BCS Finals in the first year of competition and finished ranked #47 nationally. All of the success was due to the great leadership and work ethic built throughout the numerous amount of hours the players put in working on the field and the weight room. The Canes also ran their first college showcase having 11 colleges present ranging from Division 1 to NAIA schools throughout the Southeast. The showcase and scouted tournaments the Canes played in allowed for 14 of the players from the first roster to move on and play college baseball. The Canes and Coach Greg Plecki are extremely excited about the direction of the program and can not wait for another successful season!
